Quick walk at Neck Point Park

This afternoon I walked the tiny loop trail that goes around Neck Point Park; along the way I snapped a few pictures:

Many trees on Vancouver Island have been fall-coloured like this for months now, because of the drought.

Grass too has been as dry as straw all year long, only regularly watered lawns are green.

2015.08.24__12.45.21Next week I’m driving to the other side of the island to explore some of the West Coast rainforests, where hopefully I’ll find a completely different situation.
