Driftwood at Pipers Lagoon

Lots of driftwood got bunched up on one side of the beach today, creating a spontaneous playground for young and old:

    1. There’s a big lumber industry here on the island, not a pretty picture. Many companies transport the logs over the Georgia Straight, where eventually some pieces get separated from the rest and end up on the beach like this. It’ll only last till the next few high tides though, when they will float elsewhere again if the wind is favourable.
